Yesterday I hosted my first ever swap meet. It was so much fun! Everyone brought home decor items and brunch items. We hung out, ate, and found new treasures for our homes - for free! Everyone seemed to have a good time, and several people said that we should make it an annual tradition. Sounds good to me! Any excuse to have a party!

The best part of the morning? People left with some really great stuff for their homes. I was genuinely concerned that we'd all just end up swapping empty picture frames, but that didn't happen. I can't wait to do this again! I may have to do an accessories swap this summer when we're settled in the new house. Thanks to everyone who came and made the party fun!
In a completely rational society, the best of us would aspire to be teachers and the rest of us would have to settle for something less, because passing civilization along from one generation to the next ought to be the highest honor and the highest responsibility anyone could have.
