I will not give up hope. I was hooked from the start when I noticed your kind and your powerful heart.
We have been busy trying to enjoy all of the festivities of December, but, as is common at this time of year, we have had many distractions attempting to steal our joy. One of those major distractions was the stomach flu, which Jim and I both had in the days surrounding last weekend. I got sick on Thursday night, getting well just in time to go to Jim's company party on Saturday night, and then Jim woke up sick on Sunday morning. The lucky thing is that we did indeed get to go to the party, and it was tons of fun.
Lampo Christmas parties are legendary, and Dave Ramsey is the most gracious and supportive of all bosses. We were blessed with delicious food, phenomenal video presentations, and other great entertainment. And, of course, we were lavished with gifts that most employees could only dream about. After having received restaurant and store gift certificates, a Thomas Kincaide ornament, free movie passes, and an expensive honey-baked ham throughout the week leading up to the party (we still need to track down our ham since Jim was home helping while I was sick!), we were also presented with a gift of cash that night. Most employees would be thrilled to get a nice dinner and a gift certificate, but Dave Ramsey always takes it to the next level. He honors and appreciates his team members year after year, making this the fourth straight year that Lampo was voted the best place to work in Nashville. We wouldn't want for Jim to work anywhere else. We are so, so grateful to be a part of something so inspiring, so life-changing, and so meaningful. The Christmas gifts are only the icing on the cake.
